EZ Stabilized Blood RNA Isolation Kit
EZ Stabilized Blood RNA Isolation Kit is designed for isolation of high quality total RNA from blood collected in PAXgeneTM Blood RNA Tubes. The PAXgeneTM Blood RNA Tubes allow for collection of 2.5 ml blood into a stabilization solution which protects RNA molecules from degradation. The kit is designed based on selective binding of RNA to silica membrane in the presence of chaotropic salts. Erythrocytes are first lysed in the RBC Lysis Solution. The leukocytes are recovered and lysed in the RNA Lysis/Binding Buffer. After pre-cleaned up, the lysate is applied to the Spin Column. The contaminated genomic DNA is removed by DNase digestion. Any other impurities are removed by stringent washing steps. The purified RNA is eluted in RNase-Free Water. The kit eliminates the need for toxic organic extraction and time-consuming ethanol precipitation steps required in the other RNA purification methods. The purified RNA is virtually free of Genomic DNA contamination and is suitable for conventional RT-PCR, real time quantitative RT-PCR, northern blotting, RNase protection assay, RNA amplification for microarray analysis.
