EZ Plasmid Maxiprep Kit

EZ Plasmid Maxiprep Kit provides a simple and fast silica membrane based method to isolate high quality plasmid DNA from large recombinant E. coli culture. The principle of the kit is based on alkaline/SDS lysis of bacteria cells followed by selective adsorption of plasmid DNA on silica membrane in the presence of high salt. Contaminants are removed by wash buffers and the plasmid DNA is eluted in Elution Buffer. Up to 1.2 mg of plasmid DNA can be isolated from 200 ml overnight culture grown in LB broth. The isolated plasmid DNA is predominantly in its super-coiled form. The purified DNA can be used for any downstream molecular biology applications.
