EZ Fast Plasmid Miniprep kit is designed for rapid isolation of high quality plasmid DNA in less than 10 min. The kit utilizes a modified alkaline lysis method that eliminates bacterial culture precipitation and resuspension steps in the traditional plasmid preparation procedures. Simply add the specially formulated Cell Lysis Buffer to the bacterial culture and incubate for 1-2 min. After neutralization, the plasmid DNA is purified using a silica membrane column. Contaminants such as protein and RNA are removed by wash buffer and the plasmid DNA is eluted in Elution Buffer. The purified DNA can be used for restriction digestion, PCR, sequencing and other standard molecular biology applications.
