DNA Extraction Solutions are a component of EZ Zebrafish PCR Genotyping Kit which is designed for rapid extraction and amplification of genomic DNA from Zebrafish tails. Extraction of genomic DNA is achieved by a 10-minute incubation of the tissue samples with the extraction buffer, which is then terminated by a short incubation (10 minutes) of the extracts at 95oC. Genotyping is then carried out by PCR using an aliquot of the DNA extract, a pair of user-selected primers and 2X PCR Ready Mix (available separately) to amplify target DNA.

With EZ Zebrafish PCR Genotyping Kit, the extraction of genomic DNA is a fast single-tube procedure. There is no need for overnight digestion, organic extraction and precipitation of the DNA. The 2X PCR Ready Mix is specially optimized for use with the extracted DNA. The 2X PCR Ready Mix contains an inert red dye that allows direct loading of PCR products onto agarose gels without the requirement of the addition of gel loading dye.
