Proteinase K is a highly active and stable broad spectrum serine protease isolated from Tritirachium Album. It cleaves peptide bonds adjacent to the carboxylic group of aliphatic and aromatic amino acids. The Proteinase K Solution can be used to digest protein and remove contamination in biological samples when isolating nucleic acids.
